Has anyone managed to get Microsoft to move the licences of their Arcade games?

I just called up and was informed that "there is not a chance."

I'm sure I have read that it was possible.

As long as you are using the same xbox live profile you can redownload the full game as it realizes you had it previously.

But you can't play them unless you are connected to Live via that same profile.

It's MS and DRM. You need to ring them up and get the licenses moved over. Something I need to do but haven't yet. I would say email them but you will get the same email everyone does that emails them with any problem. "Call support"....

Yes, but you can then only play those games while connected to Xbox Live.

I never tried to be honest mate, but I like you heard it is possible. I thought you should just phone them a let them know you got a new machine. Shouldn't be a problem.

All they do is credit you the MS Points if you complain about not being able to play your XBLA games offline, you can then re-purchase them (or get different ones!).

They stopped doing that a long time ago when people were spending the points on other things.

you can only do it if you've had your console refurbed by MS (Source: Major Nelson podcast sunday 4th may, Xbox 101 feature) He said, and i quote, "Currently this is only for people who have had their xbox 360 refurbished by MS not for people who have purchased new hardware however we are looking into the possibility of including this feature in the future as we do want to be as flexible as possible"

Its a pain isnt it im in the same boat but fortunatley i can stay on live 24/7
