Anyone had this problem with their mouse before?

Mouse - Habu
OS - Windows 7

For some reason recently my mouse has started playing up. It works fine and then suddenly freezes (the touchpad on my laptop still responds) before working again a few seconds later. I tried different USB ports, same problem. I then opened device manager and realised when this happens the Habu gaming mouse driver disappears and then reappears when the mouse starts working again. Any ideas what might be causing this, it's infuriating

Yep that's it, if I mess around with the cable near the mouse it suddenly turns off. If I leave the mouse dead steady and only use the wheel it works fine.
