This might be better in the case thread.... Sorry mods, could you remove my thread in the small pc section?

In a few of the reviews ive seen where they have all the colours, they comment that the black has a "feel" to it, and its likely to get marked or scuffed. It sounds like its quite matt, and a bit coarse/rough compared to the other two.

This guy shows it well: at around 1:40

Anyone have one? Whats it like to live with?

I really like the look of this case, i dont really like silver, and the Jade isnt doing it for me, the black looks great against nice walnut piece. but if it always looks a mess, it will annoy me.

Cheers

I don't have one but even just from the photo there in the thumbnail, it looks like that kind of porous material that is a fingerprint magnet.

In saying that, how often do you plan to handle the machine? A proper clean without it then being moved around, would probably be fine.

Yeah it would probably be fine.

I really like the look of it, but the slats are noisy if you have the fan up against them (so say users and reviews) the fix is to move them in, but that reduces the space or cooler size. Another option is to use the noctua cooler with the fan underneath the heatsink. Since its the heatsink up against the side, its not an issue. The noctua cooler is 60 quid though. And 70mm high, which limits gpu upgrade options a bit (its fine for now though with my FE card).

Im in no hurry so ill ponder on it. Cheers

I did consider it for an ITX build as well but ran into the same issues you mentioned.

My motherboard only supported the Noctua cooler in the 'fan on top' position because of the motherboard heatsinks and I kept reading about the fan turbulence being an annoying consequence of that. So it put me off buying it.

If the graphics cards continue their trend of becoming more power efficient and not as wide in terms of slots, then it may be something that could be overcome by giving the CPU side a bit more space but I'm not sure what direction the next round of GPUs is heading.

If they did a revision with different shaped vents in the side that would be great, if they also made it a smidge taller so you could get two fans in instead of one, it would be perfect, but then it would be even more of a rip off of the form T1 then i guess. Thats my other option, but its a bit bland against the terra, plus the shipping from overseas nonsense.
