Anyone have any experience with "Sager" laptops?

Looking at the prices on the sager website and for a laptop with all the gummings (including an 8800m gtx) the price is $2519+$245 P+P (ouch) = $2764 or £1362!!!

Bargain for the spec. And here it is :

So does anyone have experience buying a laptop from them?

The only thing that obviously puts me off is them being in America, and the fact that I would have to pay postage there and back if anything went wrong...

RockDiredct in the UK sell the same models if I recall. Many companies take sager laptops and rebrand them, Alienware.

Yea, but its because its so cheap - like a grand cheaper than rock - thats why I need some peoples opinions on sager as a company

They're big in the US and have a good reputation, I wouldn't have any problems buying from them... take a look at Eurocom.ca as well.. they're in Canada but sell the same stuff as Sager (i.e Re-branded Clevo chassis) Don't forget to add whatever duty on the cost of that as you may get stung on it when you get it shipped over.

There are other companies in the UK that sell the same laptop.. as you've seen you won't that spec for £1,362 or anywhere close to that.

Sager don't actually make the Chassis, Clevo do. Sager just rebrand them the same as Alienware, Rock et all.
