Iv been using my Sony 55 inch bravia TV for a while now and im looking to treat myself to an OLED tv and what better than to get a 4k LG model at £2499 plus £250 off trade in for my old tv.
I was wondering if anyone on here has this TV and what is there experiance with it?

Its a great price for a 4k OLED in my opinion. Especially considering i paid more for the Sony TV i own at the moment.
Its £1600 for the 1080p one but for a few hundred more why not go all out and get a future proof 4K tv right.

Would love to hear from any owners of this on here if there is any.

What makes the EF950 the better tv? they both cost the same price and from looking at the specs the only difference i can see is the EF950 is just the flat version where as the 960 is the curved. Does the 950 support HDR as the 960 doesn't?

How do these LG OLEDs stand up to the classic Pioneer Kuros in terms of picture and black levels?

I don't want or need 4k so I'm just watching the 1080p 55" prices....I think they they get down to <1k I'll pull the trigger.

The black level on the Pioneer was 0.001 right? as far as i know thats the same with OLED from the reviews iv read. Pretty much perfect black. my only worry with these LG OLED's is the banding that people have reported a lot that you can notice on panning.
I used to have an LG LED tv that went back after a few days because of banding so i notice it very easy.
I'm like you in a way i don't really need 4K that bad since theres no 4k blu ray players even available yet but im in the market for a upgrade over my Sony so it would be pointless me going for just an 1080p OLED. At least this way its futureproof so i dont have to upgrade for a long long time. I mean it should be the Ultimate TV really. Perfect black levels, stunning colour, Passive 3D with no crosstalk, 4k and HDR. Shouldnt really need anything else for a very long time now. My only worry though is screen uniformity and banding which im reading these LG sets suffer from.

How is the banding and issues just above full black that im reading about with these sets? My old LG LED went back because of banding so i notice it easy.
It seems these OLED have it too which can be noticed on panning shots.
Its something i wouldnt have suspected an OLED to have but it would frustrate me if i end up with vertical bands for the price of these.

Would love to see a few pics of that.
Also do i need new HDMI cables for 4k? or will my normal ones on my 1080p set suffice?

Just to check before I buy anything. I currently have my xbox one. Ps4. Pc and amp all connected to my 1080p Sony TV. If I get this 4k TV do I need to get 3 hdmi 2.0 leads and a display port cable for the pc? I don't want anything to be running at 30hz.

The way i have them connected is the PS4 and Xbox one both connect into the amp and then the amp connects to the tv over hdmi. The pc is then just a normal hdmi connection straight into the tv.
