Anyone have Tropico 3?

I've got it and it's a good game, although it's not quite my cup of tea.

I prefer games like Anno and early Settlers, and I imagined this would be something like that, but it concentrates less on building economic chains than on political moves and diplomacy. I was very impressed by the detail though, ever one of the little critters running around with individual history, general backround, and personal traits. Lots of detail.

For some reason, the layout and menus took me on a nostalgic trip back to A-Train times, probably the colour schemes, I don't know.

This is based on personal preference, I can imagine this to be more attractive to players with tastes different to mine.

Was the Steam weekend deal a few weekends ago. Got it then. Played it for a good 20 hours of so, but not played it recently. Main flaw is it too easy and once you get how it works.

Seemed ok to me from the demo, decent enough city builder/management game. The graphics really are amazingly detailed, the texture's are unbelievable for a strategy game. It all run's really nice maxed out as well.

However gameplay wise I think its pretty much the same as the older games, i'm not sure though.

The demo seemed very different from Tropico 2, and not just because of the notable lack of pirates (always a failing in a game). I didn't et into it very much, but I might pick it up when it goes on sale again.
