Anyone having issues with xbox live?

It is a vital service though, I mean I think i find the lack of Live more annoying than no hot water ;)

5 years and it's first big problem is pretty damn good if you ask me!

I agree its the first time a constant problem has appeared as far as I can remember, but come on its been rubbish since Xmas day, surely they can add more bandwidth by now, to me it looks like they are just hoping to get away with the influx of members and hope it calms down a bit soon without actually doing nothing.

Constant problem Mr Men? Behave, I've never had an issue with Xbox live and I've used it since it began. It's been spotless up until christmas.

They'll get it sorted, let's all calm down and have some patience :)

Maybe you never read it right, Live has been having constant problems SINCE Xmas day, that much is clear, now you tell me why its taking so long to solve or make better, because everynight since then has been hit and miss, and that is nothing like Live should be or has been.

How long shall we wait for it to be fixed? Another 2 weeks?

I guess you could not wait for it to be fixed and cancel your subscription like a proper victor meldrew.

Microsoft are a business, They have enough bad PR with other things, Last thing they want is for one of their best assets, Live, To be dead. So I can't see them just waiting it out like you said, They will be on the case

If I did then apologies. But you are correct in saying that since xmas and what one can only assume that the new influx of users has provided, has caused these issues.

Go out side, play the "real life" game, it's like the sims, only better.

O rly? Should I? Do you know me?

The only times I have been able to play recently has been a few afternoons over Xmas and late in the evenings, which means most of the time I can play Live is down.

I wouldn't be moaning if I was at home all day as it works during any other time than the evening. My legs were dead from playing a football match yesterday afternoon and just felt like playing on Live...

But obviously you know me enough over a computer forum that I don't go outside  What tripe.

This is not the first big problem. I remember quite a few times when Live has had updates and a 12/24 hour maintenance window spanning into 3 days offline and then weeks being like it is just now.

Last night my friend wasn't able to get a game of Cod4, it took forever to matchmake, then when it did it would hang forever once the countdown reached zero, it managed to get into a game once, then promptly froze, everyone was disconnected and it kept freezing every few seconds, something was most deffinately not right last night.

I just wish Microsoft would communicate with their Live customers, they're only too happy to send me emails telling me when my Live renewal is up or anything else financial.

They have all our email addresses so why not send a courtesy email? Even a message on Live would be nice and helpful?

It's been like that for me for every night since around the 22nd Dec.

Build a bridge and get over it. Every one is frustrated about Live being up and down more than a prossies knickers, but we can't do any thing about it. Have a bit of patience, as echoed above this is the first time in 5 years any problems have been had, other than the random couple of hours every 12 months.

"OHNOES, Live is down, quick every one jump about the PS3 sailboat."

2 weeks and counting then, for a business like MS that is sure a long time to solve their flagship, so now you are whining about people whining about MS? changed days indeed, if you are happy your £40 is being well spent then fine, no need for you to read this thread.

I'd quite like to see an xbox live status page built into the dashboard. obviously we won't need to be told when it's down as we won't be able to get on in the first place!

but i think a page saying there's issues with the marketplace, or you can't recover your gamertag at the moment or we have cod4 matchmaking problems but we're working on it etc etc could be useful.

Its easy to tell if COD4 is screwed though. Simply look at the gamers online, if you see 0/0 players online rather than 23764/222034 then you know it's having problems.

I don't think thats the best indicator tbh, the other day my sister couldn't connect and she told me there were 200k odd playing the game.
