Anyone having issues with xbox live?

I'd be more satisfied if the person who is in charge of monitoring and planning upgrades to their network lost their job. Shambolic is the only word that discribes what has been happening.

What the hell do you think they are doing?!! One of the biggest companies on the planet sitting on their back sides for 2 weeks? Are you insane?! This issue requires common sense, there is obviously a large scale problem they have had to deal with - I for one am not questioning what they are doing behind closed doors because it has taken them 2 weeks, its obviously a large scale issue - how cant people understand it?

If it was as easy as chucking in a couple more servers don't you think they would have done it by now dude? Cmon...

They claimed the issues were caused by an influx of new members, to me that more than suggest's their servers could not cope, this also appears to be the case when Live tended to break when the USA woke up, ie more members online than it could handle (same as last year), now what reasons do you have to think it was not an issue like this? Has Live been hacked? or been subjected to a DOS attack on a constant basis? I think not.

I doubt a couple of servers would do much TBH, as I said looks like they did nothing, other than say sorry have a free game. But again if you are happy to go without something you are paying for then great for you :) I am not going to change my opinion that it was not good for MS so really save yourself some time and accept that I was not happy with the service I got. :)

Im happy - its like £2 worth of live service and Ive still been able to play, its just been glitchy. Thing is - people that know nothing of the subject (like you) tend to say oh its more users, they can fix that by adding servers. Do you really think adding servers will fix the problems by themselves? The amount of stuff they must have to do when they add more servers (split traffic up etc) must be insane... Its just completely pointless trying to make sense of what they are doing because its complicated.

Im listening to major nelson now and E is saying how complex the system is...
 
So MS say its because of new members, the same thing happened last year, but you claim its not cause of that? Nevermind that Live went wonky when USA woke up and logged in? So what do you think caused the problem, bearing in mind all the evidence pointing to too many users online causing the system to grind to a crawl.

I can fully accept Live is complex, I can fully accept it might not be as easy as adding new servers in 10 mins, but I can't accept it happened again same as last year, and they did not prepare, they go on about selling this amount of consoles, but do not upgrade live to cope, so next year we can expect not to bother with Live around Xmas, maybe they should do 11 month subscriptions in future. But I give up, you are happy to have a sub standard service, I was not, I can accept that, you could too :)
 
No it tells you what they want you to hear, but if you are gullible to take PR scripted spiels as gospel then good, Live was rubbish over Xmas, I along with many others were not happy, is that ok with you? Why does it bother you most are not happy at all?
 
Majors podcast is crap. I normally do listen to them each week but having listened to most of it(not all admittedly) they didn't tell us anything about the problems and basically lied to us by saying it was fixed. :(
 
Im not happy tbh, yes i admit its cheap for what it is but i expect it to work!! and like other people have mentioned, they predicted they would sell a huge amount of consoles over christmas, and yet some how they did not prepare for them to join xbox live? also i dont think they are telling us the turth, well the whole truth anyway on what is wrong.

It doesn't upset us that you are unhappy, it's just some are less upset about live being down than others. Live is broken, It's a shame, but it'll get fixed, they are most likely fixing it.

Anyway I am not that bothered about Live being broke, I have a life ;) Still does not change the fact it should not be broken at all and they should have been prepared, but whatever dude keep on nitpicking for the sake of it...zzzzzz

Do you not think that, just maybe, at the time the recording was made, they were under the impression it was fixed? Or is it just a case of "well it's Microsoft, they always lie"?

When was the last time I was on live then? unlike you every night, get a grip or a life :)

Maybe you 2 can stop the trolling soon, just an idea....
