Anyone having slowdown on astraweb?

Is anyone having any slowdown issues on Astraweb at the moment.

For the past 2 days with 20 connections running to their european server ive only been getting max of 1mb/sec on my 20mb line, when ive normally been getting 2.34mb/sec.

Thought it may have been my virgin connection but it isnt because if i pull from virgin and astraweb at the same time i can get 1.6mb/sec.

Just wondered if there were any current slowdowns or anything with astraweb and if anyone else was having the same problem?.

Ive just maxed out my virgin 20mb connection no problems

I've been getting constant 2.39MB/sec whenever I use it on my 23.5mbit o2 line.

Very strange, cant work out what the problem is, im only getting 900k/sec max on astraweb, if i run both virgin and astraweb servers at the same time im getting 1.9mb/sec.

Must be a routing problem from my ubr.

Last couple of days I've only been able to hit about 6Mbit/sec downstream and that seems to go up and down a fair bit too.

Torrents or a decent http source can max out my Be* connection at 1.9MB/sec.

If your having the same issues it looks like its a problem with the connection to astraweb for some of us.

I just tested and I'm getting my usual 2.5MB/s. Been fine the last few days for me as well. On Be btw.

Solid 2.3MB/s here on UK Online too. No issues.

Currently getting 20.47mbs from VM server.

After tech support told me that I needed a new modem and various other things, a reset of the modem this morning has sorted out the speed issues.

Looks like when Stoke on Trent got 50mb virgin switched on thursday it caused network issues for me..

I'm in Stoke & still having issues, 400k ish max atm

(20mb service, usually 2.34mb/sec solid)

Mate, have you posted on the virgin media tech support newsgroup.

Theres defo a issue in stoke they need to look into.

My speed dropped to 400k for most of the morning, then its just shot back upto 2.3mb/sec and is steady at the moment.

If you also post on the newsgroup they will listen more.

news.virginmedia.com is the newsgroup server

virginmedia.support.broadband.cable is the group.

Here in Herts on Virgin Media cable hit max speeds also... on astraweb.
