my downloads are bobbing between 150 and 550kb, i have a 10mb cable line and usually have no issues getting 900 to 1.2mb a second.

ran a couple of speed tests on different sites and they all tell me i have a 45mb cable line

Mine is hit and miss atm, cant game online as I get bad lag, was fine an hour ago.

mine at home is running fine, 20mb at around 2.2/2.3mbps

im on the 20meg package and normaly hit 18meg never really gone under 10meg unless its a bank holiday or something and lots of people on my street are home lol

I used to to go down to about 100kb/s download sustained where I used to live during term time. In Fallowfield in Manchester, when all the students were home, the street I lived was probably 80% student shared housing, 4 people or so in each.

During holidays I would max the 20mb connection during term time it was horrific to use, massive pings, low speeds and frequent disconnects.

I would definitely go back to VM again but it would have to be in a non student area.

Yeah, I've been having major issues with VM in the South West. Only on a 2 meg line but lately been getting 5kb/s downloads and unplayable lag.

Emailed tech, and keep getting asked todo the samething, and getting no results. Driving me nuts, but don't wanna phone up their customer services number as only have a mobile

Hopefully it wont be too congested for you, but over the course of a year there was a definite pattern I found on VM where I used to live.
