Moving out in the next week finally..
Hoping to order a comp within a week or so of moving (currently been dossing at my cousins for the last 6 weeks since arriving in England). Already posted about a month ago about a spec, but things change and specials do as well so I didn't get a chance to order then.

Had more of a go at a build myself this time as well. My budget is £800 but if its worth the extra I could stretch it by another £50 or so. I have a 1TB external HDD being sent from back home (Australia), and so wondering about the SSD's as well. i.e. is it worth just getting an SSD now and filling that up in the meantime while waiting for my external to get here?

This spec comes to £825 with shipping etc, and I include VAT in my budget but not the shipping that can be over the £850 max. Any help would be great thanks :)

It would be hard to fit an SSD into that spec and keep it within budget, thats a very nice spec indeed for the money, so id personally forget about an SSD for now, you can allways get one later down the line if u really wanted, but if u spec one now in that build, you would have to reduce some stuff to make room for the cost of it, and in all honesty i wouldn't scrimp on the rest of the spec just for an SSD.

Thanks, yeh was thinking the SSD was a bit much for now.

So you don't think there is anything else worth changing?

Maybe change the 500gb samsung to a 1gb one? can't have to much storage and its not much more for it, and ud still be under budget. Or instead of that adding a sub £30 after market cooler.

Either of those is the only 2 things i might change if it was my build. Apart from that seems fine to me, but please don't just go by my say, wait for others to input too lol.

I ordered it coz you said it was good, its all on you now!!!
hah, not really, ordering Monday by looks of things anyways.

Nearly gave me a heart attack then untill i read the 2nd line hahaha.
Man seeing all these 460's in peoples specs, makes me wanna buy one now aswell, must resist, till funds permit lol.

Hope you enjoy the new build, i always enjoy seeing all the brand new stuff boxed up when it arrives, then its like yay kid a a candy shop lol.

Yeh the RAM was something I wasn't to sure on. I saw the Corsair ones, but it says they were designed specifically for the intel processors so I thought I'd give them a miss and go for others. Would they be sweet for the AMD board and processor though? coz thats a £20 saving there

Yeh they will be fine, that built for intel stuff basicly just means they are built to run at a certain voltage, that intel states. They will comfortably run with AMD so no worries.

Oh thats good then, a nice saving there, might put it towards an aftermarket cooler a bit later to overclock the CPU
