I am years out of date with this stuff :-)

I just updated the memory and gfx in my pc....

Motherboard - Gigabyte Z77-D3H
Processor - i5 3570k running at 4.4ghz (44 * 100)

I fancied a new gfx card so ponied up for the MSI gaming 970 and thought I woudl get some new memory too, I had 8gb but do lots of things at same time so thought I woudl go up to 16gb

Got some of this - seemed a great price - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-057-TG

So - what should I tweak? Think of me as an ancient and out of date N00b ;-)

Its currently running the stock 11 13 13 30 2T @ 2666 FSB:DRAM 1:10 - basically I picked the XMP Profile on the motherboard and it sorted it all out...but its never fast enough so appreciate some hints on what I shoudl aim for and what to change in what order!

Thanks

Stuart

I just bought the same ram and have a 3770k.

While i'm able to run it with it's XMP profile, a quick benchmark reveals the read/write/copy performance is terrible.

I would test yours and check your results. The IMC on my 3770K tops out before 2600Mhz.

I'm running this 2400 10-12-11-20-1T and the results I'm getting are great :)
