Anyone here been made redundant?

i've been made redundant twice at the grand old age of 30.... :p

last time i was actually 1 week short of 2 years service but they did at least payup as if i'd been there for 2 years. 2weeks pay tax free and 2 weeks lieu pay (taxed) - the bare minimum the law allows.. :p

you won't get a penny for 6 months. :(

He's past his 3 month probabtion. They cannot just sack him without good reason. They cannot make him redundant if the job still stands.

Naturally they don't want him there but they can't get rid of him for free either without a damn good reason.

If its the sack with decent reason fair enough, otherwise I'd claim unfair dismissal and see them in court.
