My keys are starting to get a bit dirty around the edges and i'm tempted to pull them all out and give them a good wash. I'm worried that when I go to put them back they won't feel the same as they left the keyboard in the 1st place. Should I now worry and crack on with it or just clean them while they're on the keyboard?

The keys should just go back on, that's how they were put there in the first place. Just remember to check they're on the correct key switches after, otherwise it'll make typing a little more 'fun'. :D

I've cleaned mine. Took all the keys off, turned it upside down, gave it a light tapping on the back. My keys seem to be dirt resistant but I still get hair and other crap falling between the keys.

Just take off the easy ones, and leave the stabilised keys on (unless they're easy to get off). Then clean.

Still to actually bother cleaning mine fully, but I try to keep on top of it every so often :)

I wouldn't worry so much about putting the keys on in the wrong order, you'll probably find you know where most of them go anyway, however I'd just look at a spare keyboard to check. A quick phone pick gives an easy reference though. :)

If you need to wash your keys too I would look to use warm water and washing powder. Not Fairy liquid as it can cause some degredation on certain coatings.

Leave them in for about 20 minutes.

Take them all out and stick them on a baking tray and into the oven at about 35-40 degrees for 10 minutes. Et voila, clean and dry keys ready to put back onto your board!

Lol bet that's not covered under warranty!

Take the keys and cover off and put them in the dishwasher, come out like new. Just remember to take a photograph of the key layout beforehand or you'll have a jigsaw puzzle to play with for a while.

You can also buy a small can of compressed air for a few quid, comes with a nozel, just blow out all the crud, then use a half dried out cleansing wipe to clean the surface, if you dont want to buy the can of air just do what the others have said and turn upside down and tap and blow into it a few times :)
