Anyone here deleted their diesel DPF?

The decent 'deleters' actually knock the DPF through and just leave the shell in place and then just 'delete' the DPF in the ECU.

Have a delete on our Leon TDI using a milltek pipe and a remap. Yes you can knock the dpf through and get someone map it out for you. If you want a proper job go to Sh.ark performance, Darkside Developments or RS Tuning. Depends if you just want to get rid of the dpf or make some gains at the same time.

Do you mean is the extra gain with a dpf delete worth it over a bog standard remap without delete?

1. Get pipe replacement
2. Keep Orginal DPF
3. Remap ECU
4. Put DPF back b4 MOT
5. Profit :]

I can't see it causing many problems, it's just like having a decat, there's a million testers out there who will turn a blind eye.

Do you just look them up in yellow pages under dodgy MOT?

I would imagine a large percentage of enthusiasts will have friends in the trade or know someone who knows a lenient tester for such things.

like most things as long as you leave a human element in the mix theres always going to be ways round things.

Why the recent trend for the word "delete" when people are talking about removing parts from cars

maybe it works for other things too :)

i'm going to delete a kebab and some vomit from the rear of my cab.

This is what swayed me to buy a petrol over a diesel really. DPF's are going to cost loads to buy with that law out now so IF they can spot a gutted one you won't have much choice.

Well if you are keeping a DPF but getting rid of the internals, you are deleting their internals.

I had mine hollowed and the ECU reflashed to disable the monitoring and regeneration. No problems with main dealer MOT, as (to paraphrase) the MOT tester's manual - the tester is to look for obvious signs of removal and if not sure assume all is well.
