Anyone here done time in jail?

no but i was arrested a few times around the age of 15, i lived in one of the crap areas of nottingham though so i blame peer pressure

Rape isn't funny and neither are you.

Having a female friend who was raped i also find it rather unsavory to be making a joke out of such a serious thing. Maybe think a little next time.

And to the OP, nope sorry... never even been inside a police station apart from reporting a psycho driver once ;)

someone told me something else that's not funny once,

they said

''it's not rape if you shout SURPRISE!''

i didn't find it funny at all!

My mate did a couple of weeks while awaiting trial for breaking and entering and theft. He just said he kept his head down and got on with it. Although he's quiet tough really, hes an Albanian and illegally came into the country over the channel on a dingy with his sister.

He was found innocent in the end anyway.

I have been to jail a few times to pick up prisoners on production or to drop them off if a licence has been revoked.

Several times I have dodged missiles being thrown from cell windows and some of the language choice I cannot repeat on a family forum.

In my opinion they are awful, souless places. Most people I deal with who are in and out of them regularly seem not to mind them though.

An old friend is in the now, he quite likes it. Got an apprentice ship out of it and gets some weekends out.

So far this thread is mainly people going "agree" that rape is bad. My god why even bother, just leave it.

Anyway, I've not done time but my university football team went into a prison to play a couple of games against the inmates. Very intimidating place.

Had to show our IDs to go in, we were walked through several secured corridors with big gates either end. To get to the changing rooms we had to walk through the gym. Now, this is where it got very intimidating. The guy that was escorting us had to go on to unlock the room etc. We (the football team) were left in the gym with the inmates. They just kept looking at us. Most of them were big burley black men eyeing up fresh meat it seemed! One had massive dreadlocks and was lifting about 10 tonnes of metal whilst staring holes straight through us.

Once we'd got changed we had to walk between two blocks of cells outside. There was wolf whistling, jeering, abuse..... It was a lovely experience. Was like being a proper footballer I guess!

Incidentally we played against Lee Hughes in there, the football who was put in prison a few years ago for a hit and run. He was quite good...

More importantly did you win? And was it like the game in mean machine?

No we didn't win. Sadly as they are in prison all they do is gym gym gym. So they are all strong and quick, and not all my team were heroes like me and fell on the battlefield. Think we lost 5-3. I scored one and should have had another but we had Lee Hughes for the last 5 minutes and he stole my penalty off me which I'd won myself. NO SWEARING
