Anyone here filleted a kipper?

I've got kippers defrosted and debating on cooking it as is or deboning it first. Much more tricky to bone than a mackerel, quite a lot of steps, even removing the skin. I'm dreading it, but I'm equally dreading not filleting and getting bones on every bite. What do you reckon, leave it and cook it on the bone or not?
 
Leave it on the bone all morning long :D
Its like any fish, the bones lay in a direction, removing the flesh in the opposite direction results in not many bones per bite.

Ok, I think I'll attempt to debone one and leave the other on the bone and take my chances of not dying by choking on a bone stuck in my throat. :p
