I just moved to Lichfield from Birmingham, anyone on here from Lichfield?

Looking for pub/bar/club/restraunt recomedations from any locals. So far I've only had a nip round the town centre on a Saturday morning and I've not really had a chance to go out locally yet. Pretty sure I live on the rougher side of town - I'm right next to Lichfield FC.

Any areas to avoid etc? Or any places worth a visit etc.


Bit of a Rocker here, into Indy/Alternative/Rock Music if anyone knows of any local venues catering to this crowd (seems like chav bloody central in the immediate area around my house on the North East Side of town :confused: - though everyone seems nice enough!)

Crap for nights out...haven't been out for a drink in the town for years...don't even know if there are any clubs left in Lichfield. Mainly bars and pubs.

Eating out few good places...Ruby (chinese) and The Hedgehog (pub outside town A51-Eastern Ave)

Avoid the bit around Dimbles especially at night...chav central n all boozed up :rolleyes:
 
I’m not from Lichfield but I live in Aldridge which isn’t too far away and i go into Lichfield every once in a while drinking etc etc.

Yeah that’s the bad thing about Lichfield, everywhere but the town centre is full of chavs but the town itself is usually really quiet and a really nice place.

Only sort of rock place I know of is the Los Angeles Rock Cafe

Also check out "Paradise" which is pretty much opposite the Rock cafe, they play all sorts in there and is a good bar/club type place.

Other places to check out are "Après Bar‎" just a few meters from that Rock cafe. Quite expensive in there and have to be smart to get in but the talent in there is always above the grade: D
