I just got this and have it connected to SKY HD via HDMI, I have disabled audio through the HDMI and have plugged in a optical cable from the SKY HD box into the optical in of the sound system. Then enabled dolby digital output in the SKY HD menu. I get the dolby digital sign come up on the LCD display of my sound system. The sound works really good. The only problem is, it does not show the dolby digital light in orange with the speaker sign for left, right, center, rear left and rear right like you find on other sound systems. I had another pioneer sound system which is about ten years old and it showed this orange dolby digital sign. The only thing the LCD shows is it's dolby digital. I heard you don't get these lights I talk of on this new pioneer system. But then I can't tell whether the sound is 2 channel or 5.1 channel. Has anyone got any experience on this and could tell me how it works?
The sound system is a 7.1 channel system, it works by only using 4 satellite speakers each having 2 speakers built inside and then a subwoofer.
