Guys,

Just got an ABit AT8 for my new setup and wondered if anyone here has had any overclocking success?

I have an Opteron 146 CABYE on this board with 2GB of GSkill DDR500. On my old board (MSI K8N Neo2 Plat) I had the RAM running at 250 FSB with 4xHTT multiplier for 1GHz HTT and CPU clock at 10x to give 2.5GHz. This setup was stable 100% for 6 months.

On the Abit board I am trying to get to the same setup but cannot find a setting for HTT multiplier as I want to keep the HTT at 1GHz but retain 250MHz FSB. Does anyone know if this setting exists on the Abit board and if so what they call it?

Have googled for guides but not much luck - if anyone has a link to any info please post it.

Thanks guys

Just an update for anyone interested ;)

I had previously set the memory speed to DDR500 AND set the FSB in uGuru to 250MHz. This caused the machine to not post with a C1 on the post display.

After reading a post on abit's forum it appears that the memory speed setting in the DRAM settings should be left at DDR400 if you want 1:1.

So, set it to DDR400 in the memory options and left the FSB setting in uGuru at 250MHz and CPU-Z reports the CPU at 2500MHz and memory at 250MHz, so appears to work.

Still not stable though...ran Memtest last night for six hours and got a single error in test #7...

Just to close off my own thread....

Did some tweaking with my memory timings last night and now game stable with Opteron 146 CABYE at 2500MHz (250Mhz FSB x10).

Now to see if it will go any further....
