Does any you guys order parts for your car/bike/boat etc from US...

As am looking at ordering a full exhaust system for my motorbike tomorrow from the US.

But am wondering roughly how long the shipping will take ??

Bought a neighbour a full stainless system for his Ford Probe from the states via ebay, took about a week iirc. Had to pay customs duty on it though.
:)

Order on a regular basis from the US (Florida) to be exact.
Usually takes 3 to 5 days depending on customs. We use UPS, never had problems with them.

Thanks again..

I ordered lots of small items that fit in a jiffy bag from the US before...But this is about the first time am looking at ordering something much bigger..

The exhaust am looking at ordering is also from Florida (Clermont, Florida, United States)

Are you guys finding this stuff on Ebay or are you going to particular supplier? Parts for my Chrysler are expensive, I was wondering if ordering from the US might be an option.

Same Mickey D isn't still about, I'm sure he'd know where to get cheap parts for a Neon.

I've ordered plenty of bodykits from the US, it's best if you get a good seller in the US who can give you prices. It's for volume and not weight when you get big items. You'll get the customs and handling too.

I picked up two sports cats for the kit car (buy two, get one half price) back when we were getting two dollars to the pound.
The pair shipped came to about eighty quid, closest I found over here was 140 quid, sold the second one on and maded most of my money back :)

I've bought some stuff for my s2k from America. Parts usually arrive in a week and I always seem to get brilliant service but all purchases have been through s2k international preffered suppliers.

How long do customs normally take ??
and any idea what % of import duty i will be charged ??

I ordered my Greddy exhaust from US and they ordered it specially from Japan and took around 4 weeks to get to my door.

I also ordered coilovers before direct from US and took just over a week
