Anyone here run Ubuntu on the mac?

Some one in here did arch on the macbook a little while back, way cooler:cool:

Anyway, jsut make sure the important stuff on your macbook is backed up somewhere and it'll be fine :)

I may do arch on mine tommorrow, depends how bored/geeky I feel hehe

EDIT: I'm going to one up thnat chap and install FreeBSD on mine :p

Well It's not a case of being "better" it depends on what you want from your O/S.

After cutting my teeth with ubuntu/opensuse I prefer now to build my Os from the ground up, thats why I prefer Arch now.

The prject has different goals compared to ubuntu.

Hahaha, yeah freeBSD sucks when it comes to graphics card drivers.... :p (poor exageration)

Try gentoo and get some windows game emulation to be super "l33t" :D (i actually mean be super cool but a bit of usless web speak is in order :cool:)
 
Hmm, Parallels desktop says it cant boot from my Ubuntu CD for some reason, so I am trying VmWare Fusion instead.
