If not, do so! It a very comprehensive media dukebox. I say dukebox as i use a totally trimmed down version of foobar to play files opened within explorer. But if i want to take control properly of what music i have on in the background (and sync to my iPod) i was using iTunes. But since the last time i used MediaMonkey v2.5, v3 has come out and its fantastic, and the scripts i've found are awesome.
I'm now totally integrated with last.fm.
I scrobble to it and AutoDJ (like party shuffle) from last.fm related music, so it goes with my flow rather than totally random.
I autorate my songs depending on how often i skip/play etc...
It randomly selects my top music plus other interesting stuff for my ipod the next time it syncs.
It autosyncs then ejects my iPod so no hassle can grab and go in a rush.
On top of a million and one other things!
There are a few UI issues i'm "dealing with" one major for me is the "browser" is pretty crap tbh, but heres to hoping they fix that as it goes? Its much quicker and more lightweight than iTunes too Anyways more than happy i've barely scratched the surface, try it for free, and go Gold for skins and few other things (i'm Gold and it's probably not worth it really...).

Tried it when I got my iPod as I didn't want iTunes to touch my PC and the iPod plugin in Winamp didn't do Coverscans... within 2 hours it had borked my iPod needing it to be returned to factory defaults!... Uninstalled MidiaMonkey and I then got the mlipod plugin for winamp (which does do Coverscans etc..) and I've not looked back since!!..

Don't know how you managed that, but its doing a very good job here, and i'd say i'm quite picky! It just has so much more versatility than all the other dukebox software i've used in the past...

I still can't help but smile at the autoDJ last.fm playlist, it keeps choosing tracks i wouldn't think of, but yet they're oh so right! I get to listen to almost ALL of my collection for once! Music perfection :D

I used it when I couldn't be bothered to transfer albums to my Zen Vision:M by hand. It's a top, if clumsy looking app.

There are a few things i don't like about the way it looks and how you interact with the UI, but as i said i've let them off, its features sure make up for it, and now i minimise it to tray and leave it to its own devices, now need for a UI!

I used it last summer for tagging my newly re-ripped MP3 collection. Didn't realise it was also a media player until I installed it. :D

Same here. Incredibly handy!
Apart from MP3TagTools (Which just manually does tags much easier) this is the best automatic one i have found. Even if the aldum search for (Insert name here) is a bit crap.

No as stated, best automatic tagger (unfortunately not ripper though :() is MusicBrainz Picard, for ripping i'd certainly look at MM though :)

//Edit: Actually on second inspection Picard may do CD's it can read them, and save files, i'm just not sure exactly what that means...

Yeah. I tried using Winamp but I had too many songs to sort for Winamp to be a feasible option.

Well I didn't know about MusicBrainz Picard last summer. :p

I use EAC for ripping. :)
