Anyone know if when you get charged by these on your card if you get the "overseas transaction fee" on top?
Jabbs iirc thats the old ssl server address. You shoudl be using ssl-eu.astraweb.com
If you do not download so much go for the pay as you go options. 120Gb for $25 Works well for me![]()
Hmm 120gb for $25, or unlimited for $11? Whut.
Depends on how much you're allowed to download a month (or how much you actually want to download). Personally I can get by with 40GB per month so the 120GB allowance lasts me 3 months which at $25 works out cheaper than paying $11 per month for 3 months. The 120GB option is basically for people that don't download much, say for example you only wanted to download 20GB per month, that $25 would last you 6 months which would have cost you $66 on the unlimited option. I find the 120GB for $25 options works best for me

One gotcha with using PayPal for a Usenet subscription, which may or may not affect you, is that you could find a large number of binary newsgroups are unavailable - mainly those carrying, well, pr0n basically.Very good point and with astraweb you can pay via paypal which is very simple if people don't want to give out there card details.
