I have over 500 customer mobile numbers and wanted to engage in repeat business, anyone here uses this service, let me know or is it one of those things where I simply by a sim card with unlimited texts and just send them out, obviously the business is down so I need all resources to be looked out.

Your help would be greatly appreciated, thank you in advance.

I don't want to be talking about people getting ticked off by recieving a a text of us as I am pretty sure my clients wouldn't mind that.

You assume too much about your clients. Nobody likes getting advertising texts. Anyone that sends them out should have them bounced back to their phone a million times per text.

The only texts I like getting from companies are from the dentist & opticians to say I've got an appointment and from delivery companies / stores when the tell you that your stuff has been despatched. I'd hate to get advertising messages.

I'll take all what you say in to account, but what I want is, if anyone on here has used it, where do I go about it.

And to answer most of your questions, I would have something in place where I will delete numbers if Customers want to opt out of recieving texts from us.

But from your OP, you are saying that you want to send marketing texts to numbers you already have in your database. Unless you gained their permision to send them marketing texts already, you can't just start sending them messages, that's no different than spam. You can't delete if they opt out, they have to opt in first.

Are you looking for intelligent communication with clients? IE send out automated SMS messages that they can respond back them with a clever automated set-up or something very simple?

As people have said, make sure the people you're sending to have opted-in to a mailing list first, before spamming your crap to them.

Then, send using TXTLocal. All you have to do is give it a CSV of the phone number and any personalised details, and the text and away it goes. Pretty cheap too.

Yeah you could say that, but when we obtained customer info, they have already ticked a box where we can tell them about our services and what not and changes in our businesses.

I was looking into this company myself as it came up first on Google Search, but can you actually set something up yourself or not?

If your company spammed me out of the blue with SMS advertising, I would track you down and strangle you.

Should your mother appear, however, I would be forced to walk away without comment.

Its weird, I didn't have that much of the SMS advertising messages, then one morning on radio one they commented on the news on how there is a massive problem with SMS Spam messages people are sending, literally from that day I have been having a good few every two days or so!

When I sign up to stuff I always opt out of the spam tick box. and say I don't want any.
