Looking at the possibility of getting a projector for home cinema room, but seems there are endless options when it comes to screens. Does anyone here have a good set-up, and what screen are you using? I'm eyeing up the BenQ W2000 projector currently.

Spend money on the screen, don't get a budget one is my advice. You pay for what you get with the material quality, motor, essentially overall image

I've had a sapphire 92" manual pull down screen for a few years now think it was £120ish well worth the money.
As above. 92 pull down. It locks in place easily. Great screen, well worth the money. My PJ is roughly 10 feet away.
Auto 120" from amazon. It was only a temp one until the cinema room proper is finished. Its tab tensioned but after 6 months has some rippling. Not sure if us leaving it down ALL the time has caused/Not helped

I was looking at the fixed frame ones, as they seem better suited for the room. I don't need a pull down, which would just remain permanently down anyway. Sapphire do a couple of screens at a reasonable price it seems. I think 90"-100" is the max I'm going to be able to go. I've noticed the price jump is significant once you go over 100" anyway.

I've had six or so screens over the years - from fixed, to electric, white, grey to exotic - and choosing a screen is harder than choosing a projector! Spend some time on it and don't go budget. The screen will last you multiple projectors.

Yes, as mentioned above, fixed is my preference.
I had seen that, but both projectors I'm currently looking at don't seem be on there... BenQ W2000 and W1210ST. BenQ seem to have a decent distance calculator on their site though. I'm wondering how exact you need to be follow this? Obviously they are giving EXACT distances for the projector and where it should be, based on screen size/height... surely there's some flexibility there though? Looking at the BenQ distance calculator it could be interpreted that once screen and projector are mounted up, if you're a few cm out on one of them, you won't get the picture where you want it! Surely that can't be the case?
