Anyone here work for Openreach as an engineer?

I went to one of their recruitment interview things that they have a 3rd party recruitment company run.

Previous to that I spoke to a couple of guys who i saw about, their responses were all the same.
"It's a job. Okay if you just keep your head down and do the work."

The reviews of the company and from what i learnt all seems to match up. Two chaps at the interview/test day laughed while mentioning the condition of the roadside boxes when i queried about quality of jobs done.

Seems like a tickbox exercise on some call outs where management aren't interested in solving customer issues. A common issue at some of these companies, and really quite soul destroying if experienced regularly.

I never did get offered anything. But in hindsight i'm glad i didn't as it was merely an attempt at escaping another bad company at the time. The tests and interview were all straight forward, but from the feedback they gave my plumbing problem solving answers i gave in response to give an example of "problem solving you've done at work" just weren't adequate. You'll see reviews online of qualified guys encountering the same issues.

I'd avoid unless desperate.
