I'm currently building a server, with the following spec:
2x 3ghz Intel Xeon Quad Core Clovertown “x5365”
2x 1gb hynix PC2-4200f
2x 2gb KINGSTON 4200F
ASUS dsbf D12/SAS
Rackable system 2u case
2x500gb Samsung spinpoint f3s
I've put it all together, and when trying to boot it, all i get is the fans spinning up but nothing on the vga output, no error beeps etc. Tried each of the procs individually etc, still nothing, my guess is dead mobo.
Now, S771 motherboards like the d12/sas are far from cheap or readily available used, and I would ideally like to be able to test the rest of the gear and make sure it IS the motherboard before splashing out on one....but I cannot find someone who has one!
Anyone around or near manchester that would be able to help a fellow ocuker out with this task?
