Yeah I know this likely gets asked all the time, but if any of you wedding photographers are in need of a second shooter for any events and don't mind me tagging along then please shout up :)

I'm not a total noob at this - I've done a few weddings as second shooter and one solo - but I'm still looking to get more experience. I also just enjoy shooting weddings :) Whilst I've done and will be doing weddings for friends & family, I'm not looking to do this even semi-professionally any time soon, although that may change in time.

I'm not looking for any monetary remuneration or anything like that, the experience is enough and obviously any and all shots I take would be handed over freely if the main photographer wanted to make use of them.

So yeah, a long shot I know, but if anyone is on the lookout or knows anyone who is, let me know.

Lol, made the same damn mistake when I spammed this on TP!

I'm in south-east Birmingham, near Solihull, but have my own transport and am prepared to travel anywhere in the Midlands or possibly beyond - don't mind an hour or two's drive if that's what's needed :)
 
Cheers but isn't that site more for clients looking for photographers rather than photographers looking for seconds/assistants?

I don't know what it favours, but I do know photographers put ads on there for assistants.
 
Well I've already done a few as a second and a couple solo for friends/family. I'm not looking to go fully "pro" with this but possibly do it as a bit of a side-line, I just feel like I need more practice & experience before I start doing any proper paid solo gigs but, since the lady I did the second shooting with is taking some time off at the moment, I'm a bit lost.

Oh well, I'll keep my eyes peeled but if anyone hears of anything in the meantime :)
 
Any chance of seeing any of your work? It wouldn't be regular but there may be a wedding in November this year. There is usually 2 of us but there's a 50/50 chance one of us is unavailable for this wedding. Won't know for another month or two yet. I've posted some of our work in the weddings thread recently.
