Anyone install Vista twice

Just wondering what happens if your mobo fails and you need to reinstall Vista. I understand it's tied to the board. Will MS reactivate for you seeing as you got it replaced with same board ? My mate is middle of RMA process and needs to know this.

In my own situation, I bought Vista 64 OEM from OcUK the other day. So installed it, set it to activate automatically which it did I assume as no notification came up. Now for various reasons I need to reinstall. Hardware is the same. Will it activate again automatically when I reinstall or do I have to ring some call centre ?
 
If the motherboard is repaired / replaced under warranty then he can reactivate, he may need to use the automated call system.

What about my own situation.
I only installed Vista yesterday and will be reinstalling tommorrow.
Same hardware, nothing's changed. Will it activate ok ?
 
I purchases Vista business the other day, I chose not to activate straight away and still have 21 days to activate. You never know, I might upgrade my motherboard before then :p
