Some gaming background - pretty much I get hooked too a game and then play the absolute hell out of it,
wow countless /days played - dont like current game
StarCraft 2, countless games played - just got tired of the game after playing so long
hero's of the storm 8k games played
cod black ops 2 1000 hours played back in the day,

Im very much all or nothing lol but since blizzard killed off hots I've kinda just been in a constant state of "meh" Ive tried so many different games but I just cant find that next big hook, I normally sink a lot of hours into multiplayer games but like single player too as long as it keeps me hooked otherwise I just skip all combat and rush too the end too get it complete and uninstalled lol

anyone else struggling too find the next big game that really just gets them hooked, the game where you could easily sink a whole day into and not get bored? nowdays I play a level of left for dead, one or two missions of deep rock galactic, maybe do a level of doom or dusk then just call it and go watch **** on tv with the gf or just browse garbage on youtube lol, anyone else in a endless loop on meh or just me :(

As a 30 year old, I tried recently to get back into the stuff I liked when I was younger. Mainly battlefield and RTS stuff. I played a lot of wow back in the day.

Most modern stuff has been a complete disappointment to me, until I picked up Valheim. The game is like crack cocaine :D can't get enough. Not everyone's cup of tea though.

Not particularly no. I tend to take a week or two off games or just play something light after finishing something big and then when I want to find the next thing I just play a little bit of a lot of the stuff I've accumulated over the years until one hooks me

I tend to only play an hour or so, or a level / mission in any one game a day but be playing 3 or 4 different games each day. That keeps me interested and keen to get back to them the following day. It takes a game of the level of RDR2, Skyrim, Fallout, etc with huge and enjoyable exploration to make me play for longer than that, usually without realising. But not all games can that be level of epic.

For co-op, yes. I put hundreds of hours into L4D 1&2, and have been waiting for another game to grab me and my gaming friends like that. Hopefully R6 Quarantine, Back 4 Blood, or WH Darktide will hit the spot.

Hots? Have you tried lol?

valheim is the rage atm and looks great as above poster mentioned. Honestly there’s so many great games out there
