anyone know a way to quickly rename 2500 photo's to a generic name

all my 2500+ photo's are names some wried stuff,dsc from the erricson then other from the 400D and lumicron.

basically it's a mess i just wanna rename them all photo 1 - photo 2500+ but obviously i'm not doing them all one by one as i'd be there ages

Well under windows 7 simply select them all, right click one of them with them all selected and name it Photo, then hit enter.

Windows will name them all Photo (1) to Photo (2500)

Or for more control use something like Flash Renamer.

oh something not mentioned above, if you have different file types it will put the same number in some. As Photo(2).jpg Photo(2).png. But thats no problem.

Yep - that also works on Vista and XP.
