Got my new tyres delivered today, but weather is looking bad for next couple of days and dubious taking the Bike out to the centre to get these fitted. Been looking at Internet and there doesn't seem any mobile tyre fitters around... anyone know of any for the Holywell area or Chester that would come over here? Pain in the arse this lol... all to save money lol

As above, wheels off & drive to a tyre place, it's what I suggested to you in the other thread since your rear is borderline any way.

Problem with that is, not got a stand to put bike on, the rear is fine as it's got a middle stand, but front one... would have to lean bike or something, will take a look.

However, just spent the last 90 minutes white tyre marking the new tyres,, look ace... although this is a personal taste I do know ;-)

I had a cbr6f, when I had to take front wheel off I put it on the center stand and chocked the front forks up with some wood.

Will be interesting to see what that looks like with white pen, it'll give the tyre fitters a laugh im sure :D

If the bikes fitted with a centre stand, you stick a piece of wood under the centre stand to gain an extra inch or so, drop the rear wheel out, then gently tilt the bike back on the centre stand, as it's now minus the back wheel the bike will be nose heavy, once the front wheel is about an inch or so clear of the ground, wedge a piece of wood ( or car axle stand, etc ) under the front of the engine cradle/frame rail ( obviously removing the fairing lower first ) make sure the bikes stable & secure & et voila, remove front wheel.

& that used to work on my ZRX1200 allways, which is a fair bit heavier than a CBR600.

yeah suppose I could do that and anchor somewhere.

As for tyres, well, it's like the subject of tyre trim tape, some people scoff and say it looks cack, others like it. A close mate of mine has just done his tyres on his Tuscan and it looks mad... really mean for some reason... however I once seen a Corsa 1.2ltr with white lettered tyres ROFL... that was a little embarrassing IMHO... my tyres now look like this which I think looks sweet:

Well, it was ****ing down this morning in Holywell, but thought what the hell... drove through to Buckley tyres, dropped the new ones off, drive home, and rode up there in torrential rain on two bald tyres... come on :-) And billy bonus, lived to tell the tail :-) Nice to feel an actual turn in on tyres that aren't squared off...

Here's a picture of the bike with the white wall letting... I reckon it looks mean and the wheels are now finished.... time for something else to dick about with.

Looks really well that mate, imo I'm not keen on the yellow honda bit on inside of the rim, the rest looks OK.

I would recomend the Stompgrip tank pads as another easy addon, they really help take the pressure of your arms under heavy braking and generally make you feel glued to the bike!

I did love that bike! :)

Nice one, might try that as it is a bit slippery, especially with the amount of wax currently on him lol. Will check to find one for mine...
