Hi, does anyone know how i can change settings to my video card bios or where i could reflash it with a newer or clearer bios?
i flashed my laptop bios recently and since i havnt been able to see anything on my screen during boot up at all, i dont see the post, the logo, the bar that shows windows is starting etc.. the only time i see anything is when windows is about to start and asked for my password, understandably i wanna see this, and also cannot see what i am doing in the bios etc..
I phoned acer and they said basicly i shouldnt have updated my system bios, ok yeh great i know that, they think that a bios i did update contained an update for my video bios and it may have changed a setting within my video bios to now show a display during boot, he recommended i try the external display first to see if i can see anything with that and to try and reset the bios settings to see if it changes anything. I have connected an external monitor and sure i can see the bios and normal startup stuff now through that, but i have tried resetting the defaults and its still the same on my laptop.
I am hoping either a peice of software i can look at my video bios settings in, or if i reflash my video bios this may fix this issue, can anyone let me know their thoughts or how i can go about this?
