Hi Guys,

I'm having a major issue with dealply atm, the wife used the computer to play online bingo the other night and now I seem to have a malware called dealply and I'm having a major issue trying to get rid of it and I am considering reformating as I think I have tried everything I can think off.

so far I have used the uninstaller - that didn't work, remove the plugin from my browser, system restore, removed all entries from my reg and deleted all the files restarted the computer and bang its all back..... I don't really want to refomat the whole system but I will do but before I do I just wondered if anyone has a remedy that works as I don't really wanna restore the whole damn thing.

Also search for Dealply files and folders on your PC.
Look in the EXTENSION pages of the browsers you use.
Also check the SEARCH ENGINE settings of your browsers.

Try Malwarebytes. Adwcleaner. Spybot. Hijackthis.
Use autoruns or msconfig to check there are no executables running at startup.

And finally. Make your girlfriend use the built in guest account.

Cheers for the help guys, tried all that, the thing is still coming back ....... format time I think :( Spybot finds it and removed, but the same issue (restarted and bang it was back).

Not yet...

Have you tried disabling system restore before hitting it with the malware removal tools as system restore is quite a handy place for malware and the like to hide copies of itself to restore if removed from the system (also wipe all restore points in the process just to be sure), and ban your SO from playing online bingo on anything except an extremely limited account.

Cheers guys :) I have it sorted now found one last entry hidden in the system reg deleted the bugger restarted and windows picked it up that something was missing from the reg and it uninstalled it :) no problem.

Missus account locked down even more now.
