anyone know how to get a security tag off?

Hi,

Just bought a gorgeous dress in town. I got home and they have left the secuirty tag on the belt that is attached to the dressbut took the tag off the actual dress.

Problem is, i bought it for an xmas work part on Thurs night and wont have time to take it back to the shop! So annoyed as it cost £70!

Has anyone been able to get on off before?

Take it back to the shop tomorrow morning.

Otherwise, a pair of pliers should do the trick.

Dont some of these tags have dyes that stain if removed wrongly

If its the kind i think u mean i sure they work with magnets, though i not sure how stong. Prob some out of a old HDD would do the trick?

google also give a few useful ideas.

They close at 4pm, only just got bck home...by the time i got back it would be closed.
Boyfriend also works full time..

I am hacking away with the scissors as we speak!

check to see if it has the little things of dye on it that will break if forced.

if not, just wrench it off.

Can you see little vials of coloured ink in the tag at all? If so, make sure you leave the tag on.

Take it back to the shop.

Security tags are there for a reason and should not be removed by force.
