Hi.

Well today my parents got something from a shopping channel and they got this SWISS Balance The Prestige of a Lifetime Passion Collection watch as a free gift, now in the box it's got this little bit of plastic that says £129.99 R.R.P, but I dont trust that, they all have it on the bay and my parents want me to stick it up for sale, but I want to know if its fake, I've looked around and cant see the same watch and want to check if its fake before getting it up for sale as I dont want to con anyone.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks
Willz.

Is "swiss balance" the make ? never heard of them

If so it is unlikely to be a fake from a TV channel and £129 watches are hardly worth faking

what is more likely is it is a watch sold with an inflated RRP that it would never sell at to make it look a good deal on the program

some makes sell almost entirely on this type of scam ( Krug Baumen , Klaus Kobec , Claude Valentini , Zeitner etc )

just checked a site that sells watches on this sort of basis and Swiss Balance are sold there too so it looks like what I said above is correct

It will not be fake but the £129 RRP is just BS , this site was shifting them at £6 each

I have seen it before where watches are sold and they have a tag saying RRP £199 or so yet you can buy them for £10.

Basically it's a piece of plastic that makes people think they are getting a really good deal.

When I bought my £300RRP Seiko for about half price (imported from US) I had a few links taken out of the strap at a proper Jewellers, and they confirmed it was geniune by offering to do the links for free (they thought I'd bought if from them.) :D
