Anyone know if you can pipe PC audio into Sonos system?

I use the Sonos app on my laptop and desktop to play Spotify and Tune in audio on my Sonos system, but I was wondering if there was a way I could pipe web browser audio from my Windows desktop into the Sonos system for when I'm watching Netflix?

Currently using the built in monitor speakers, which aren't great.

I've got a Playbar and a couple of Play 1s hooked up to a bridge, connected to my router.

Seems a waste to get separate speakers for my PC as it's in the same room as all the Sonos gear.

You need a Sonos connect or one of the players with a line in (Play 5 definitely does, not sure about the Play 3). As far as I'm aware there's no software method of transmitting directly from your PC, you need to connect to a line in on their hardware.

There's a latency problem too, fine for audio but watching video the audio will be slightly out of sync.

Dave is correct, and there is no line in on the play 3.

I have a 5 which is connected by a 3.5mm headphone cable to our kitchen TV with a stereo pair or wireless 3's. I do run a Boost also as it's the other end of the house to the router - never get any latency (that i notice) or dropouts.

Hope this helps!

Depending if you can put up with lag there are "AirPlay" like programs you can use. Install one on your computer and then get an apple airport express to "AirPlay" to. That's the only option I've found that isn't buying a connect or play 5.

Thanks for the info guys.

Wow, £279 for the Sonos connect?!

I've got a Playbar, which has an optical port, currently connected to the TV. If I had a box that switches the connection to could I connect to PC to the Playbar?
