Hello,
I still have the problem that I can't adjust my screen brightness from the software :
Power settings
Mobility Centre
Action centre
Clicking the screen brightness does bugger all, this worked fine in Windows 7 ( mobility center, Win + X ).
I can adjust the brightness with my FN keys + arrow keys, problem is, one of my arrow keys doesn't work ( water damage), and now I can only turn my brightness down a normal way, and not up again.
If I want to get my brightness back up, I have to :
Update AMD driver to ''microsoft standard display adapter''.
Then adjust the brightness with the action or mobility centre.
Update display adapter back to AMD.
I am running the latest AMD Beta's ( 2 weeks old).
The bug has been in since I upgraded, and tbh, I'm sick of it.
This is getting tiresome, I'm often keeping brightness at 90% as turning it back up is a hassle, but 90% is to much in a dark room or when I need the extra battery life, isn't there some other fix so I can adjust my screen brightness from the software ?
Acer 5742 (Old, 2009, but a fine laptop for office use still: manually upgraded to i5 and 8gb ram and SSD, it's far faster than any new sub 500 euro laptop)
AMD Radeon HD5470
Win 10 Pro x64
