I want to get into some amateur photography and was wondering if any of you guys know of a good beginner digital SLR camera to get?

What budget?

For beginners, I would recommend a bridge camera. It has a smaller sensor than an SLR but with similar features like f-stop, ISO, shutter speed, manual focus etc. I'm currently using a Canon G1X which I got as refurbed for £200.

But yeah, Dons might move this thread into the Photo forum.
