I have 4x8GB 8-pack 3600MT/s RAM 14-15-15-36 CR2 in a daisy chain motherboard. These are single ranked sticks but with all four slots full I get the Dual Rank boost but with better timings. I can't boot above 3600MT/s as the PC wont post. I also cant reduce the primary timings, I have to leave them at stock.
2x16GB is very likely to be Dual rank but I cant find any information about the rank on the manufactures website.
https://www.reddit.com/r/Amd/comments/cpsxjg/is_this_the_best_ram_i_can_buy_for_3900x/ hints at DR hynix. If you want to take the chance of getting 3600MT/s working then only two slots are the best way to go with dual rank ram. Speeds really can drop if you have 4x2 RAM (4 slots of dual rank can be as low as 2933MT/s maximum with some cpus). I am using a 10900k.
If you are ryzen then this could be useful.

Note the information on page 11, there is a table at the bottem. Remember there is a safe speed and an overclocking upto speed. Overclocking upto speed is the risker one.
You should check that your motherboard QVL supports the RAM.
