As above...

*EDIT*
"AMD’s new GPU RV870 codenamed Lil Dragon is expected to have 1000 shader units. It will be manufactured using 40nm manufacturing process. The theoretical performance of the Lil Dragon will be at about 1.5 Tera Flops.

Using GDDR5 memory , a memory interface throughput of 150GBps - 160GBps is expected. It is most likely to feature a 512-bit interface. The Radeon HD 5800 series graphics cards will have 1GB DDR5 memory.

It will be DirectX 11 compatible. The Radeon 5870 graphics card is supposed to have the RV870 core.

With such huge power coupled with CrossfireX will deliver high-end graphics performance. A more interesting thing will be note how NVIDIA will compete with AMD."

AMD's RV870 "Lil Dragon" 40nm, 960 Shaders etc etc :D

"Overall performance has been suggested to be somewhere around 20% better than RV770 with a significant drop in power consumption"

Who says it's out next month?

The rumors back then said March, but it seems that the graphics card business is not rolling out much significant this year, they're being completely quiet. This might be okay for beating out the recession, since the chips will still get cheaper and people will upgrade, but it's not very exciting.

Thank you rjkoneill, thats my something new learnt for today, going to see how many times i can use that now, lol.

Thanks for the heads up [timko] :-)

If you look in this months custompc at the builds and component section (where they recommend components for certain budgets), where the 4870x2 is it says over the top in big red writing something like "NEWS New card next month"

Looks like my guess could be right. Come one rjkoneill, share the wealth!

If you can't say maybe you could just write some random digits down such as 02476-4870-65 :P
