Mums moved house and there's a few of these dotted about on the walls. I've taken one off and can't seem to work out what it is. Nothing inside like electronics wise or anything in fact.

There's absolutely nothing inside it. It's just solid hard plastic but there's about 5 of them on the walls up high in different rooms.

Yeah just on a screw on the wall. You can take them off. They are in the entrance halls of each level as it's a town house.

The other side looks like this but there's absolutely nothing in the inside. I've taken in a dark room and it's not like a night light either.

Yeah just on a screw on the wall. You can take them off. They are in the entrance halls of each level as it's a town house.

The other side looks like this but there's absolutely nothing in the inside. I've taken in a dark room and it's not like a night light either.

That part of it looks like it is for hanging something. E.g. put a screw into the back of a picture or mirror and then the head of the screw goes into the large opening and slides down to hold the mirror/picture securely without any visible hook. No idea why it would need a plastic cover though.
