The battery icon just went red after I fixed my Macbook Pro, does anyone know what it means?

Could it possibly mean calibrating? my Macbook wasn't powering up earlier and i held the power button down for a few seconds which I seem to remember resets the battery or something

Should be ok then.
I'd advise you to condition the battery:

Fully charge leave charged for 2hours

Fully drain until it auto shuts down

Fully charge

This will calibrate the battery, also an smc reset could solve the issue, this is different depending on model but should be on apple.com

I'd advise doing both anyway.

:)

Try restarting, might just be a graphical glitch. My battery icon goes red when it gets to a very low amount of charge. Maybe yours went low, you've charged it but the icon has filled up red? Just a guess but I'd say it's worth a restart. :)

Pressing Option while clicking on the battery icon on an MBP brings up the battery status in the menu (should be “normal”) – clicking it brings up a help screen explaining the various states.

(from the comments in the excellent post http://theappleblog.com/2010/01/29/...tm_campaign=Feed:+TheAppleBlog+(TheAppleBlog))

This works for a lot of icons in the taskbar, including the Wi-Fi/AirPort icon :)

(I was about to post it but you beat me like a ginger stepchild :p)
