Anyone know when the playoffs start in the US ?

I know the regular season finishes mid april but don't know when the playoffs start. Is it straight after the regular season, or do they have like a few weeks break or sommit ?

Trying to organise a trip to Texas and wanna catch the Stars, but prob won't be going til early may. Will prob have to wing it and book flights late maybe.

What sport are you on about? Each has a different schedule so I'm not quite sure when they happen. I do know that when I was in Florida a few years ago in June, I was able to watch both the NBA finals and the NHL finals, if it's any help.

When you say the stars i assume you mean the dallas stars NHL?

nhl playoffs are around the may/june/july period.

early may is cutting it fine, plus a team like dallas is very well supported, you'd be lucky to get tickets unless you know someone or are willing to pay big bucks.

Doh sorry, yup I forgot to mention which sport. It was the NHL playoffs I was after.

They have a bit of a break then.

Might be able to do late march at a push but my wife wants to go to see the migrating bats that hang out in Austin, millions of the little buggers but they start turning up in March through april, stay until october then. Would be just our luck if they stayed at home for a few extra weeks. April is out unfortunately which would have been perfect. doh.!
