Hi, I'm not sure where this post belongs so feel free to move it. I'm moving house at the moment and having a big clearout. I've now got a big bag of old games - ancient Amiga games right up to Deus Ex on the PC - and I'd rather they went to a good cause than to the dump but I'm not sure if oxfam will take them. Anyone have any ideas?

I'm not interested in getting money for them I'd just like to get rid of them without too much hassle, but it seems a waste dumping them.

Cheers.

Sing up for freecycle in your area:

http://www.freecycle.org/

Its a nice little system for offering your stuff to people in your area for free.

When you want to find a new home for something -- whether it's a chair, a fax machine, piano, or an old door -- you simply send an e-mail offering it to members of the local Freecycle group.

Or, maybe you're looking to acquire something yourself. Simply respond to a member's offer, and you just might get it. After that, it's up to the giver to decide who receives the gift and to set up a pickup time for passing on the treasure.

Our main rule: Everything posted must be free, legal, and appropriate for all ages.

Non-profit organizations also benefit from The Freecycle Network. Post the item or items you want to give away and specify that you wish the gift to go to a nonprofit cause. It's entirey your choice! It's a free cycle of giving.

Probably a bit of hassle to sell them on here or ebay unless you do it as a big lot. Oxfam will take them. All the charity shops near me sell games anyway. If you could find a retro games shop they would be probably give you a few quid for them.

Thanks for the replies. If it were just a few I'd offer them up here, but its a whole binbag full and I don't have the time to package and send individual games. I'll give Oxfam a shot.

Go on, be nice - stick at least some of 'em in the MM.

Don't suppose you've got Millenium 2.2 for the Amiga have you?
/fights Methanoid for it ;)

Post where you live as im sure we will hae someone near you that would want to pick them up :D

Why not just list them in the Member's Market?

You have over 250 posts, and have been here longer than three months - that's all the criteria met.
