I'm biting the bullet on the OcUK reference 970 and wanted to know if this would fit? Looking to invest in the H110i GT when it's available. This frees up my h80i for this purpose!
HG10 N780
I know this particular version is for the older series cards but I have read online that they will be releasing one specifically for the 9xx series cards but aren't the mounting points the same? Also if the OcUK reference card is based off a 980 reference pcb it should fit right? Thoughts?
Probably should have stuck this in graphics cards, may have got more responses there... can mods maybe move this?

i was looking for this but nothing was clear. and it needs the reference model which makes the card not that much cheaper than a 980.

they are suppose to be doing one but it could be a while away yet, not many reference gtx970 around. and the mark up is huge.

Well the way I see it, if I'm upgrading my cpu cooler, may as well use my old one on this right? So in terms of that the cost can be offset. The bracket itself is around £25-£30? Doesn't seem so bad! Cheapest 980 is £456 so £156 dearer than the 970 reference at this current time, that's half way to sli 970!
Main thing I wna know is will the one that fits the 780 or even 980 fit the 970 ocuk reference?

Think of the HG10 and AIO like a full cover block for reference PCBs. Just like the blocks for the Kepler cards don't fit the Maxwell ones (different PCB thanks to lower power requirements, different memory size etc), ditto here.

Just to echo vsg28.

The HG10 N780 will not fit any 970s as it is shaped to help cool the various bits of circuitry. I wouldn't doubt that they will release a 900 series version and as the ocuk 970 uses a 980 reference pcb you can use that version.

I have 2 HG10s fitted to my 290Xs. The bracket as it is will not work with any card other than a 290/x. There's thermal tape positioned to contact with the memory and VRMs.
