Anyone manage to play F04 on a Laptop?

Just wondering what people who have managed to get the game to play's specs are like?

I've messed about with it and even with everything on the lowest possible settings I just can't play it it lags, jumps every second making it unenjoyable!! . I thought I would be covered on atleast medium/low with an i7 and 870m but its just not enough!

Specs of Laptop are

CPU- i7- 4710HQ
RAM 8GB
GPU- 870m 6gb

Are you sure it's running with the dedicated GPU? It should definitely work with High settings.

I'm pretty sure it is otherwise I don't think it would run at all, how would I check this?

I'd imagine that it should run without any problems on your laptop. Try uninstalling and then reinstalling the latest NVidia drivers for you 870m.

I got it running on a 7970M on med/high settings @ 1920x1080 no problem. As others have said, make sure it's set to use the dedicated GPU and have the up to date drivers installed.

That laptop is plugged in and battery is set to high performance, how do I check the gpu that it uses?

you could check the load when its opened with hardware monitor on the gpu i would expect it to be at 80-100% just open fallout 4 in windowed with it open

You could use MSI Afterburner on screen display whilst gaming to check the load placed on your card and what speed its running at.
