Hi guys,
I bought an "LG 42PJ350" yesterday, it doesn't play video files via the USB connection. I initially thought of changing the firmware. When browsing around looking for a solution it seems there is one however the instructions are very flakey and not very clear.
I need to access the LG service menu to turn on the DIVX option, and possibly change the firmware.
The TV has the capabilities of playback it's just LG have opted not to include them in their lower range to encourage you to spend more money on essentially the same television £50 more expensive for the privilege of usb video playback.
I am well aware of the risks of firmware updates and tweaking, however I am still willing to give it a go.
Is there anyone who has successfully done this to their own sets, or can even point me in the right direction? The only successful guide that was on wiki something has now been removed.
Any help is very much appreciated.
Cheers
