Anyone miss original lemon Fanta ?

So as we all know, lemon Fanta WAS amazing! But it got changed, and now doesn’t taste like it used to when it first came out (it’s now full of sweeteners etc)

I tried this stuff in Italy a few months ago, and it’s like the best tasting lemon soda I’ve ever had. So just thought I’d share if anyone misses lemon Fanta (as it is garbage now ) and wanted an alternative with no sweeteners or crap added to it!

Even the orange fanta tastes different these days

I think they’ve reduced the sugars and replaced them with sweeteners, and it is just so obvious.

I hope to god heinz doesn’t eventually start to fill their ketchup with sweeteners….

Another Prime example - They ruined lucozade orange with sweeteners, it now tastes awful.

Ah that's a shame, I only recently got back into drinking fizzy drinks. Guess it's good for my waste line that most of my old faves will taste off then.

Try the Italian lemon soda mentioned in this thread. No nasty sweeteners or additives. It’s so so much nicer than Fanta. Turns out they do orange too

Omg! Lemon Fanta... I thought I was the only one... It always brings back memories.

It used to be my absolute favourite drink when it first came out, which I still remember very clearly. I was a teenager, back home in Croatia for the Summer, like every year. Daily routine was always beach with friends, go home to eat then play street football. When finished, go to the local shop and buy a drink.... I saw lemon Fanta and had to try it. It was AMAZING. Thirst quenching, tasted so good, ended up buying 2 x 500ml bottles. From that day onwards it was always my drink of choice.

Fast forward years, didn't drink it for a long time. Tried it here about a year ago I think in a meal deal... Big mistake. Tasted disgusting, completely ruined, never drinking it again.

The best Fanta flavour now is the blue one, Sokota IMO.

Talking more about lemonade, I'm a massive fan of any drink with lemon in it. I find it's becoming increasingly hard to find actual proper lemonade, without a bunch of chemicals in it. Used to buy Tesco Finest lemonade or Sainsbury's Taste the Difference lemonade, but even now it's impossible to find them on any store, unless it's a really big one.

San Pellegrino is OK if I really want a lemon hit, the soda ones are decent for a budget choice, just wish I could buy proper lemonade!

Agreed! Everything is getting ruined with sweeteners! But.. See post #12, if you haven’t tried it, see if you can find Crodo Lemon Soda. It has no crap in it, and tastes exactly how I remember OG lemon Fanta tasting. Amazing stuff Ice cold.

We’re all in agreement that not just Fanta, but many many other brands of once awesome sodas/soft drinks have been gutted of their flavour and sugar content in favour of crap sweeteners.

I don’t really care for it, but at least they haven’t messed with the OG coke yet…yet
